Friends of the Lake District is a leading conservation charity dedicated to protecting and enhancing the natural beauty of the Lake District. George was commissioned to deliver professional photography and videography, documenting a wide range of conservation-focused events and initiatives across the organisation’s sites.
This work captures both the people and the process — from staff and volunteers working on the ground to the landscapes they help to protect. Alongside this, George has developed a growing library of high-quality scenic imagery, contributing to a refreshed visual identity and a bespoke image bank for the organisation’s new website.
More recently, George has expanded his role to include film production as part of the wider Hedgerow Heroes and Hedges and Edges projects. This has involved producing video content that highlights traditional land management practices, including coverage of the Annual Hedge Laying Competition — a key event celebrating rural skills, community, and conservation in action.
George continues to support the Friends of the Lake District team with ongoing visual content, helping to strengthen their marketing and communications through consistent, story-led imagery and film.
